what evidence do you have that the awami league conspired in the BDR massacre? Did the awami league leadership know that the massacre would take places?
are you providing misinformation? no evidence has been put forward so far.
Hizb-ut-Tahrir is a Islamic Political party, which aims to establish Khilafah in Bangladesh. The party is not a detective or intelligence agency that works to gather detailed evidences or proof against anybody. This is the responsibility of the one who are ruling and the law enforcement bodies they control. Hizb-ut-Tahrir looks at the BDR massacre as a failure of those who have taken the duties to rule. The fact that they have failed to ensure security for the lives of so many senior army officials means they deserve to be blamed. The same would have been applied to Hizb-ut-Tahrir if it was ruling.
Secondly, Hizb-ut Tahrir looked at the overall political context of the episodes that led to the BDR massacre and how it was handled by the Sheikh Hasina government. It was clear from the acts of the various player such as: Home Minister Sahara Khatun and State Minister LGRD Jahangir Kabir Nanok, including Sheikh Hasina herself that they have conspired with India to carry out this attack. In fact, form the observation of the various events such as not letting the army to intervene and causing power-cut in the area, thereby allowing the culprit to escape safely makes it quite explicit that it was facilitated by the Hasina Government.
As Hizb-ut-Tahrir looks at the political context of the situation, it also looks at who gains the most from this incident and that is India. Indeed, it is obvious to everyone that Sheikh Hasina Government has a very strong relationship with India and never has she made a single remark to highlight any possibility that it could have been India. Instead, she has aided in covering up the situation. Therefore, it is Hizb-ut Tahrir’s political opinion that the BDR massacre was carried out by India and the Sheikh Hasina government facilitated it. It is now, the duty of the Sheikh Hasina government to answer the questions raised int he leaflet:
Thirdly, a question to the reader: Who is guarding our border now? Are they fully equipped to guard the border? Do they have the necessary support from the government to carry out their duties? Where was Sheikh Hasina when Faluni’s dead body was hanging on the barbwire for days, when she was shot by India’s BSF? Has Sheikh Hasina made any comments about her death or the continuous acts of BSF, killing Bangladeshi civilians around the border area?
All this should be sufficient for any political party to conclude that Sheikh Hasina’s government is not fit for ruling the country and cannot safeguard the people of Bangladesh. This is not to say that BNP is an answer either. Rather, both of these parties with their secular ideologies have failed to government the country. It is now time for Islam and the Khilafah.
