London UK, 26th November 2011 – Hizb-ut-Tahrir addressed an Eid Milan Unity Gathering in East London with local Pakistani community leaders, businessmen, doctors, teachers and students. The gathering strongly condemned the NATO killing of dozens of Pakistani soldiers and exposed the traitors amongst the political and military leadership in Pakistan who are the ones who are really responsible for this attack.
Imam Qaiser speaking in Urdu, addressed the continued failings of both civilian and military rule in Pakistan – rule which continues to allow the killing of Pakistani citizens by CIA and Blackwater /XE. It was highlighted that in both democracy and dictatorship, man made laws secure the interests of elites and foreign powers at the expense of the people.
Dr. Abdul Wahid, Chairman of the Executive committee of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Britain, eloquently elaborated the pitfalls of the democratic process across the world which corrupts even a sincere person. He outlined how the solution to economic crisis, representative government and state security in Pakistan lies in re-establishing the Islamic Khilafah.
A vigorous question and answer session followed which explored the various Islamic solutions to the ongoing crises.
“The airbase was used for covert CIA drone strikes in Pakistan’s tribal regions and military operations in Afghanistan for nearly 10 years.”

End of Musharraf’s legacy?
“Who isn’t fed up with Zardari? It’s not just the opposition and the man on the street but people within the government too,” said one military source who asked not to be named.
“But there has to be a proper way. No action is being planned by the army. Even if we tried, it would be very unpopular and not just with the government and the opposition but most Pakistanis, too.”
The Pakistani military spokesman declined comment.
General Ashfaq Kayani has pledged to keep the military out of Pakistani politics since taking over as army chief in 2007.”

Strangely, that COAS is able to go along with every dictate of the US political establishment (which drives the Pentagon policymakers), but refuses to take action against those at home engaged in acts of treason!!!
