“…majority of Egyptians believe laws in their country should follow the teachings of Islam’s holy book, the Quran.”
In proposing a secular agenda for Egypt, Mr. Elbaradei is in danger of emulating the former Pakistani Cricketer, Mr. Imran Khan who (though well intentioned), thought he could reform Pakistani politics – only to [sadly] become part-and-parcel of the FAILED SYSTEM.
Some people say the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad, having studied Dentistry in the West, practices the art full-time, after he too entered politics; though his unsuspecting clientele are randomly plucked from amongst the street protestors. May Allah (swt) Curse him, along with all the other despotic rulers, because, you see… there are ONLY TWO guarantees in life – 1 is DEATH, about which we can do nothing, and the other is CHANGE – which is on its way to the to Muslim Lands. Insha’Allah.
This is truely a global call. Alhamdulillah, this deen needs a global effort. May Allah help this ummah’s efforts to return to its deen.
subhanallah…Allahummanshurna bi iqamatil khilaafah…
