Dear George, A very good question: It includes regions like Pakistan, Indonesia,Middle East etc where the constitution still refers itself to be an "Islamic" one. Leicester would not come under that catagory because Britian is not a Muslim country. In Britain, Islam has never been implemented as a system,e.g. In Parliament Quran is not a source of legislation. Britain is a secular state no matter how many Muslims live in this part of the world, it can't be described as part of a Muslim world. It's not a case of us against them, its only a term to describe the opinion of majority and historical link to the implementation of Shariah in the regions. Hope this answers your question. Is this any country where the majority of people are Muslims? At what stage does a country become part of "the Muslim World"? Is there any room for some other force or bloc between "the Muslim World" and "the West", or is it a case of "if you are not for us you are against us"? (I am a member of Leicester Secular Society.
