Aren’t these values the corner stone of Western universalism for human rights? Are these not the very same human rights values on religious expression that they preach about to the Chinese to regarding the issue of Tibet and the Deli-lama? Aren’t the values of Freedom the same ones they use to justify vilifying our beloved Prophet (Saw) or use to promote homosexuality? Tantawi must be intellectually bankrupt or traitorous if he couldn’t site the examples I gave above. I thought Scholars were supposed to be intelligent and sincere, I thought the West supported Freedom even to the death (after all they do fight wars for freedom so we are told). I guess I was wrong. Freedom in the West is a one way traffic where you’re free to agree with the West and not Free to disagree with it (typical western hypocrisy).
