On the 15 October 2006, Member of Hizb ut-Tahrir Mehboob Ali was invited to an emergency event organised by leaders of the Bradford community addressing the statements by Jack Straw MP regarding the veil. The penelists also included Craig Murray (ex-UK Ambassador to Uzbekistan).
