RAWALPINDI: Judge of Anti-Terrorism Court No 1 Akram Awan on Tuesday ordered Margalla police to free 31 activists of Hizbut Tahrir (HT), a banned outfit. Appearing before the court, the arrested men’s lawyer contested the police’s claim that literature recovered from his clients was hate provoking and critical of national institutions.

He said police arrested his clients unnecessarily and therefore, they should be freed.

The court later issued orders for immediate release of the HT workers, who were arrested on October 17 last year in a F-8/3 house where a secret meeting of the outfit was underway.

Alhamdulillah. May Allah (swt) reward them for their Sabr. (Ameen)

It is but another example of this despotic regime’s failed attempt to link the Hizb with militancy and terrorism. However, no minister, who ordered these arrests will ever be put before the same courts for wrongful imprisonment.

Only a democratic system guarantees them such immunity!

Whilst the innocent citizens, engaged in dawah activities to please Allah (swt) can have their lives/careers turned upside down on the mere orders of these unaccountable agent rulers.

InshaAllah, the only Justice these despots will receive will be in the presence of Allah (swt). What a painful chastisement awaits them.
