HTI Jakarta Conference
"The conference is hosted by Hizbut Tahrir, a radical International Muslim group. The group wants to strengthen Muslims commitment to revive the Caliphate, a single Muslim government across the Islamic world. Doctor Salim Frederick, of Hizbut Tahrir in Denmark: "Dear Muslim brothers, there are people who are trying to destroy the confidence that we have in Islam. We need to carry this message from every corner from the east to the west, so that on judgement day we can be proud."
Hizbut Tahrir is a Sunni organization with an estimated one million members. It was founded in Jerusalem in 1953 and is banned in some Southeast Asian and Arab countries as well as in a number of European countries. Hizbut Tahrir has denied links to violent Islamic militants and allegations of anti-semitism" Euronews
