Taji Mustafa, Media Representative of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain was a guest panelist on a special programme on Islam Channel: 'Islam and Modern Issues of Contention'. The programme brought together a diverse panel to discuss some of the contentious issues which have been brought forward to construe a negative image of Islam. Issues discussed include citizenship and loyalty, Islam and tolerance, political Islam and the Caliphate, relations between the sexes and jihad and terrorism.
Jamal Harwood (Chairman of the Executive Committee of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain) appeared on the primetime programme "Communities" on Saudi2 Television. The programme discussed the growth of "Islamaphobia" and its causes in the non-Muslim world. Jamal Harwood emphasised the spinning of terror by politicians and the media as a means to deflect attention from their disastrous foreign policy excursions, and to scapegoat Muslims for the causes of violence which comes as a direct result of invasions like that of Iraq and Afghanistan.
