The plan to negotiate with Taliban proves that the Afghanistan war is fought for exploitation and occupation
Slowly but steadily it is becoming clear what exactly the new strategy for Afghanistan is that the western powers agreed upon during their Afghanistan conference in London, on the 28th of January 2010. Various media are now discussing plans, namely, for negotiations with the Afghan resistance, under which the resistance fighters are to be offered amnesty, money en government positions in exchange for laying down their arms.
This is a remarkable change in strategy indeed. For over eight years the western countries have been telling their peoples that the Afghan resistance is composed of “Taliban Muslim-monsters”, inhumane beings that can think of nothing but murder and destruction, with whom can not be reasoned, and that have to be forcefully removed if one wishes to help the people of Afghanistan. That today, after years of war and many thousands of victims, attempts are made to negotiate with exactly these Taliban, proves that these western governments have all the time been lying to their peoples. And that the war in Afghanistan is not really about helping the Afghan people, but about colonialism and exploitation.
In what is nothing but an attempt to prevent the peoples in the west from realizing this through the change in strategy, the western governments now say the Taliban consists of two distinct groups. On the one hand there are supposed to be the “radical Muslims”, who are the inhumane beings that can think of nothing but murder and destruction, with whom still can not be reasoned, and that still have to be forcefully removed if one wishes to help the people of Afghanistan. And they are supposed to be the minority within the Taliban. On the other hand there are supposed to be the “hired fighters”, mainly poor peasants that are looking for some money and that receive this money from the “radical Muslims” if they fight against the western troops. With these Taliban, it is said, one can talk. And they are supposed to be the majority within the Taliban.
However, this subdivision of the Afghan resistance into two groups is a lie and an attempt to misguide the people in the west, just as the statement “Taliban Muslim-monsters” is.
It is the people of Afghanistan that make up the Afghan resistance. They are not resisting the presence of American, British, German or Dutch soldiers in their land because they are unreasonable “Taliban Muslim monsters”, but because these solders are attempting to force upon them a way of life that they are not interested in. The Muslims in Afghanistan do not want to be told by any person how they should life their lives and how they should organize their society. They do not want anybody deciding for them what exactly should be considered good and what should be considered evil. The Muslims of Afghanistan want to live life in the way they deem correct. And this is in the Islamic way, in the Islamic State Al Khilafah.
The attempts to negotiate with the Afghan resistance exist because it has become clear that the American army, nor the British army, nor the German army, nor the Dutch army, nor any army for that matter, does not have the power to suppress the longing in the Afghan Muslims for the Islamic way of life in the Islamic State Al Khilafah. As a famous writer once correctly remarked: “Greater than the tread of mighty armies is an idea whose time has come”.
This latest attempt to oppress the people of Afghanistan will therefore fail as well. Just as all attempts to suppress the longing for Islam in the Muslim, inside and outside of Afghanistan, will fail. Because the Islamic way of life in the Islamic State Al Khilafah is the idea whose time has come.
