Hizb-ut-Tahrir Britain held a meeting for local Pakistani community leaders, with media in attendance in London on 1st February 2010 to discuss the ongoing crisis in Pakistan.
The event was chaired by Atif Salahuddin from Hizb ut-Tahrir’s Pakistan Committee and was addressed by Dr Abdul Wahid, Chair of the Executive Committee Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain. The panel also included Sajjad Khan, Political Advisor to Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain and Qasim Ali from their Pakistan Committee.
The chairman said the context of the discussion was the multitude of problems currently facing Pakistan: continued American drone strikes, the US-sponsored terror bombings, the economic crisis, severe shortage of electricity and above all a crisis of leadership as Pakistan’s rulers continue to serve American and British interests, at the expense of Pakistan’s people. He announced publication of a detailed report by Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain, coinciding with the Afghanistan conference in London last week, exposing the lies used to justify a Western presence, showing why their occupation of Afghanistan can never succeed and demanding that all American and NATO troops leave the region.
Dr Abdul Wahid started his address showing the shame of the regimes in Muslim countries that, so many decades after ‘independence’ from British colonial rule, decisions about our politics were still being made in London. He reminded the audience that when we depart from Allah Ta’ala’s revealed guidance we should not be surprised that Muslims face a life of hardship. This is why, he said, Pakistan needs radical and urgent change to implement the Islamic Khilafat system. The current Islamic parties are discredited because they have been corrupted by the democratic process - or those who are sincere offer no real solutions. Dr Abdul Wahid explained that Hizb ut Tahrir has been calling for the Khilafat for over 50 years in over 40 Muslim countries worldwide and that all its solutions were based on the Quran and Sunnah with many detailed published works from the party.
The new Khilafat, Dr Abdul Wahid said, would expel American and NATO forces from the region including CIA and Blackwater-XE operatives by closing their bases and cutting their supply routes in Pakistan. To those that say America and her allies would attack, Dr Abdul Wahid said they are already attacking Pakistan, trying to weaken and divide it whilst strengthening India. Economically, America’s aid under the Kerry-Lugar bill is less than what Pakistan is losing. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has admitted that Pakistan has lost more than $35 billion in the ‘War on Terror’ and currently $2 billion are unpaid in war costs incurred by Pakistan.
Dr Abdul Wahid said that Pakistan had strong potential and rejected that America and her allies would bomb any new Islamic state into submission, as they have failed to deal with Iran and North Korea which are weaker. With the military assets that Pakistan possesses this would not be possible, and it is a lie which Pakistan’s rulers use to defend their treachery, he said. Moreover, he explained that Hizb ut Tahrir would rally the rest of the Muslim world, where it is active with vast experience and in time the new Khilafat would emerge as a powerful state unifying the Muslim world with huge economic opportunities leading scientific development and industrialisation.
To make this possible the people of Pakistan must work with Hizb ut Tahrir and remove the Zardari/Gilliani regime and establish Khilafat.
After the address the audience engaged in a detailed exchange with the panelists, with Sajjad Khan and Qasim Ali explaining in detail the economic and political solutions proposed by Hizb ut Tahrir. The question and answer session was closed with a dua for the Muslims of Pakistan and elsewhere and prayers that Khilafat will be established as soon as possible whilst lauding the work and sacrifice being made for the Khilafat. Then followed lively discussion over dinner.
When THE LEGENDARY Muntadar al-Zaidi, the brave Iraqi journalist hurled his shoes at US President GW Bush at a press conference.., in the video clip, it can be clearly seen that it is Nouri al-Maliki – the American puppet, who actually comes to Bush’s rescue by attempting to shield him away from the onslaught.
The Muslims in Iraq, having witnessed the unprovoked slaughter in Nisur Square, Baghdad of their fellow citizens and today the subsequent dismissal of the case by the US District court Judge, Ricardo Urbina - even though one of the accused had confessed to his role in the bloodbath; the pressure on the Iraqi regime became so unbearable that it was forced into issuing the following statement as a way of calming public anger.
“Making the announcement on Thursday, Jawad Bolani, the interior minister, said: "We have sent an order to 250 ‘former’ Blackwater employees to leave the country in seven days and we have confiscated their residence permits. All of those concerned were notified four days ago and so they have three days to leave. This decision was made in connection with the crime that took place at Nisur Square. Bolani was referring to an incident at the busy Baghdad square in September 2007, when five guards employed by Blackwater were accused of killing 14 unarmed Iraqis in a gun and grenade attack, and wounding 18 others.”
Similarly, not only did the US kidnap the Neuroscientist, Dr. Aafia Siddiqui and held her in illegal captivity for several years, they further added insults to injury by implying that she “could be sentenced for 60 years for an [alleged] attempted murder in which not a single person was even wounded; on the contrary, it was Dr. Siddiqui herself who was shot in the stomach by her kidnappers!”
If enough pressure could be brought to bear on the Pakistani regime then surely they too would be forced into expelling Blackwater-Xe from its territory; for they have spilt the blood of not just 14 but hundreds of innocent and unarmed Muslims in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and elsewhere.
However, it would be wishful thinking that these same puppet rulers who, by way of bribery granted airport customs clearances to enable Blackwater mercenaries to bring illegal weapons into the country for their subsequent reign of terror, to now expect them to expel such paramilitary outfits from our lands. Nay, this task can only be fulfilled by the Imam, behind whom the believers fight and behind whom they protect themselves.
The absence of the Khilafah (Islamic) State is the only thing which gives these traitorous rulers respite; and Allah (swt) has entrusted the responsibility of ‘holding the rulers to account’ on the shoulders of those who profess belief in Him (swt) and His Messenger (saw).
InshaAllah, the day is not far when the Ummah will stand behind the Khaleefah; as soon after he receives the bay’ah (pledge of allegiance) he will issue not seven days, but rather 24-hour notice for US and all her puppies to leave the Islamic lands.
