US marine’s gathering strategic information in the Bangladesh-India border is
a serious threat to the security of the country.
Chief Coordinator and Spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh, Mohiuddin
Ahmed in a press release issued today expressed deep concern regarding reports in
several national dailies that US marines are collecting geographic information in the
Bangladesh-India border. The dailies also reported that the US wants to collect
information on strategically important locations of the country including Dhaka under
the pretext of gathering intelligence on the routes used by terrorists and extremists.
Mohiuddin Ahmed said that allowing this opportunity to the global terrorist state USA
is a serious threat to the security of the country. While at this very moment the US is
spilling the blood of Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan, Fakhruddin Ahmed’s
government is allowing this disbelieving aggressor to openly collect information which
relate to the security of 150 million Muslims of Bangladesh. The government will not
hesitate to allow the US to establish a military base. As long as this government – the
executor of imperialist agenda – stays in power, security of the country will remain
under serious threat. Mohiuddin Ahmed urged the nation to come forward to
establish the Khilafah government which is capable of ignoring all pressures of the
imperialists and securing the interests of the country.
