obama_karzai.jpgIn an unannounced visit, Barack Obama sneaked into Afghanistan under cover of darkness and left under cover of darkness. Flying into Kabul by helicopter, he said he had seen progress from the air claiming there was more electricity than on his last visit! If there was so much progress, one wonders why he was unable to ride into town during daylight hours!

torture2.jpgDame Eliza Manningham-Buller, the former head of British intelligence service MI5, admitted US authorities tortured Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in order to gain a confession. Manningham-Buller, who headed MI5 between 2002-2007, was speaking and answering questions after delivering a lecture in the House of Lords.
