LEAFLET: The Case for Political Unity Print E-mail
Sunday, 17 August 2008
In 1924, Mustafa Kemal announced the abolition of the Khilafah state, a state that had been in existence for over thirteen centuries, which had overcome the Roman Empire, the Persian Empire and the Crusaders. In 1924 the state that had led the world in discovery, science, culture and which led the world in attitudes towards women, redistribution of wealth and just governance lay in ruins. To its west, the Muslim world now faced a powerful and ideological enemy intent on colonising the world. This menace would soon be magnified by the division of the Muslim world on an unimaginable scale.

Brown’s Saudi visit illustrates the long standing hypocrisy of Britain’s foreign policy Print E-mail
Sunday, 22 June 2008
Gordon Brown’s desperate visit to Saudi Arabia today to address the rise of global oil prices exposes the true face of the west’s policy in the Muslim world. On the one hand Britain and America bomb Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan in the name of securing freedom and democracy; whilst on the other Brown courts the oppressive despot in Jeddah to cajole him into pumping more oil.

O you who believe! Ward off yourselves and your families the Fire whose fuel is men and stones Print E-mail
Thursday, 12 June 2008
The Muslim Ummah today is the target and the victim of diverse forms of aggression by the imperialist disbelievers and polytheists. Thousands of Muslims are being killed and made homeless from military aggression in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Kashmir etc. There is also the political aggression whereby the likes of Mahmoud Abbas, Pervez Musharraf, Hamid Karzai and Fakhruddin Ahmed have been imposed on the Ummah who surrender her interests to the Jews, Christians and the polytheists. Add to this the economic aggression of foreign financial institutions such as the IMF and the WB which have impoverished the Ummah.  These are some of the forms of aggression which lead to the loss of our lives, wealth and strategic interests.

Let Muslims establish the Shariah in their own lands! Print E-mail
Friday, 08 February 2008
The Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams gave an interview to the BBC on 7th February 2008 in which he proposed that some aspects of Shariah law could be incorporated into English law.

The response to his comments have been vitriolic. The media provocatively reported his words that it was ‘unavoidable’ that Muslims would have Shariah law in the UK, opening a familiar attack on Islam. Prime Minister Gordon Brown entered the debate saying that laws in Britain should only be based on British values – although where lucrative profits for the City of London are concerned, he is happy to promote Britain as a centre for Shariah compliant finance. A typical response to the William’s interview on websites was: “Muslims are running away from this barbaric law which is practiced in their own countries, once here they want to bring this barbaric law with them. If they want this law they could go and live in a country that practices this law.”

Monday, 24 September 2007
On Monday 17th September, Protom Alo (mainstream national paper in Bangladesh), published cartoons in their supplementary magazine insulting the Prophet Muhammad (saw) by adding his name to an animal. On Wednesday 19th September, Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh lead Hundreds, protesting outside the National Mosque calling for justice. The following day Protom Alo made a cheap apology. That same evening, yet again they published articles comparing the Holy Ka’abah with a brothel and insulted the Mothers of the Believers (ra) – the wives of the Prophet (saw). Consequently, 20,000 gathered outside the National Mosque after the Friday Prayers and over 10,000 of them joined Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh’s march towards the Protom Alo main office. Police launched a series of brutal attacks but the party and the followers stood their ground.

Ramadhan, Unity and Need for the Khilafah Print E-mail
Saturday, 15 September 2007
Alhamdullilah Ta’la the month of Ramadhan, the month of great blessing and reward is upon us.

It is the month that no doubt brings to life the oneness of the Muslim Ummah. Muslims all over the world respond to the call of Allah (SWT) to fast. We perform the fast, break the fast, and pray the tarawih and tahajjud as one Ummah. No other month in the calendar reminds us more of our oneness as an Ummah. Allah (SWT) tells us in the Quran: <Verily, this Ummah of yours is a single Ummah, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore serve Me (and no other).> (TMQ 21:92). Also <The Believers are but a single brotherhood> (TMQ 49:10).

The Musharraf-Bhutto pact: Britain and America's desperate attempt to save Pakistan's Dictator Print E-mail
Saturday, 08 September 2007
On 31st August 2007 former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto met with British Foreign Secretary David Milliband for 45-minutes. Before this on 26th July Bhutto met Musharraf in Abu Dhabi. Shortly before this meeting Mr Milliband had visited Islamabad to meet Musharraf. Dawn Newspaper reported that Mr Milliband’s special adviser Mark Layall Grant, during his tenure as his country’s High Commissioner in Pakistan, played the role of a mediator between the president and the former prime minister, and was said to have been present during the Abu Dhabi meeting. During an interview with Channel 4 news in August 2007, when asked about the ongoing negotiations, Bhutto said, "the British Foreign Office has been very helpful" in brokering the deal. Bhutto is soon expected to visit the USA to discuss matters with Zalmay Khalilzad, current US Ambassador to the UN and formerly to Afghanistan and Iraq, and her point of contact in Washington. All this dealing and doubling-dealing betrays a desperate attempt to prop up a failing regime, hated by its people but loved by governments in the west.
