Jzk brothers for this great opportunity to clarify issues about the prevailing circumstances in Pakistan.

I would be grateful if you could explain your views on the Pakistani Propaganda about the 'background' for the Swat & Malakand operation.

According to them part of the agreement with the Taliban was for them to disarm but the Taliban renegaded on this aspect, secondly they began to increase their areas of operation to other areas - and so they were provoked into this operation.

Secondly, you come across people who say we are from Swat and the Taliban have made our lives miserable. What would you say in your position to such people.

@H Khan . . .

Precisely, brother. You've asked a pertinent question that goes to the heart of the crisis regarding political legitimacy in Pakistan.

I would go further . . . to what extent is the Pakistani diaspora in the UK aware of (or even concerned about) the carnage being inflicted on Pakistan and its people ?

Do UK Pakistanis regard the issue of Islamic political authority for Pakistan an illusory matter and therefore have resigned themselves to a failed system and its debased political class in Islamabad ?!

Have they become too lazy and complacent in their materialistic obsessions and lifestyles to care about their wider responsiblities?

Have their consciences become soo dulled that they no longer appreciate the duties Allah (swt) has imposed upon them? Or, indeed, his blessings?

Islam is THE source for change . . . so change will come. Its just that history will record that when the mighty wheel of Islam was turning the Pakistanis in the UK were busy cheering on their cricket team !?

Not an epitaph I'd like to see flying over my grave - thankyou very much.

As Salaam Aleykum

In the current 20-20 Cricket World Cup the Pakistani supporters have been galvanised in a manner akin to a life-and-death situation; with many people even tavelling to the UK as a show of solidarity to their team.

My question is why is it that such passion and devotion is not exhibited by such people on the issue Unity around ISLAM and working towards removing their corrupt regime?

Zardari is undoubtedly the worst leader Pakistan has had in its entire history and to my knowledge there's no one who claims to be his proponent, yet the entire 160 million population is much more transfixed on whether their team wins the Cricket?

What will galvanise people to work for the Khilafah, at grass-root level?

1.In the context of the rejection of the valid election, result by Musavi supporters' mass protest may impose moderate viewpoint of freedom and equality, Western venom spread may sweep the game away. Similar propaganda spread of moderate viewpoints being broadcast and written in Pakistan media is working. How would you address this worrying situation of disunity?

2.US and European regimes are sucked in failing 'war on terror' may never think of another pre-empt war against disobeying Muslims tyrant ruler like Zardari happy to help to fight their war killing Muslims by Muslim army. How this will help Dawah?

Is there any role of countries besides the USA in this conflict, are there countries aligning with America, or are other countries creating diffeculties for America, like perhaps Britain?

AoA, Afew questions for the brother:

1. How has the Swat offensive and the new offensive in Waziristan effected the muslims of Pakistan?
2. The recent campaign in Pakistan regarding the Swat offensive and the hardline approach by the Zardari regime in terms of the arrests of the brothers and the campaign itself how is this seen by the Muslims in Pakistan?
3. How can we the muslims living in the West aid the work in Pakistan?
