Palestine: 60 years of Occupation and Oppression. A Stand for Islam event: Khilafah, the solution for Palestine

Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain organised a public meeting to address the anniversary of this catastrophe. The land of Israa and Miraaj remains occupied and its people forced to live under an oppressive, murderous, apartheid regime.

The meeting addressed the reality of the past 60 years:

• Land stolen from its people and taken by western powers to establish a Zionist racist apartheid state
• The whole region thrown into turmoil and chaos by Western colonial interference
• Millions of Muslims ethnically cleansed from the region, or living in occupation, apartheid and insecurity
• Betrayal by successive Palestinian leaderships which have surrendered the rights of the people in the name of negotiating a 'peace' deal, which has strengthened the position of the Zionist entity
• The betrayal of the neighbouring Arab regimes in their neglect and collusion with the Zionist occupation
• The bloody infighting between rival factions in Palestine, seeing Muslim kill Muslim, that puts political power before anything else

The meeting called for the Islamic solution for Palestine: the Islamic Khilafah state, to bring real justice to the region, replacing the tyrants and dictators in the Muslim world, liberating the occupied land, throwing off the shackles of colonialism, ending the oppression and establishing a system over the Muslim world that can allow Jews, Christians and Muslims to live together.
