London, UK , June 28 – Overnight, Israeli forces launched yet another air and ground assault on the Gaza Strip. This follows the capture of Israeli army Corporal Gilad Shalit during a military operation on Sunday. Yesterday in Gaza, the Israeli military killed a Palestinian in a missile strike on a car, blew up two bridges and attacked a power station.
Imran Waheed, a media representative of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain, said, "Once again, the Palestinians living in the large Israeli prison called Gaza are bearing the brunt of Israeli aggression. Everyone knows that an assault on Gaza will result in the death of many civilian women and children, yet Israel justifies this aggression by citing the case of one soldier who was captured during a military operation. What about Israel's ongoing imprisonment of over 12,000 Palestinians – 100s of who are women and children under 18 "What about the many Palestinians Israel has kidnapped from Gaza, Ramalah and elsewhere"
Whilst a captured Israeli soldier?s life has value, it appears that the lives of Palestinians are worthless. The real question is whether peace and tranquillity can ever come to a region that remains occupied by a brutal, apartheid regime which for over fifty years has been a source of bloodshed and instability."
"We believe that the Islamic Khilafah [Caliphate] is the only system that will bring back stability and harmony to the region, as it did for hundreds of years, and allow the Muslims and non-Muslims of the region to live in tranquillity."
