The plight of the Muslims in Ghouta

426 people killed this week.

The airstrikes came at a rate of one per minute.

Bread now costs close to 22x the national average.

80% of the population of the town of Harasta were living underground.

393,000 people remain trapped due to barrel bombs and shell fire.

94% of all Syrians are living under siege today.

6 days of continuous bombardment in Ghouta.

More than 2,100 wounded from the assault by Syria and its allies’ militaries.

5.6 million in 1,244 communities across the country are in acute need of medical assistance.

“They targeted everything: shops, markets, hospitals, schools, mosques, everything…”
Dr. Bassam, Syria

“Where is the international community… the UN? They leave us to be killed.”
Dr. Bassam, Syria

“The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.”
[Sahih Bukhari]

What can we do?

Make Du’a
The burning concern to aid the Muslims of Ghouta should be channelled by invoking Allah (swt) – the Most Powerful and Best of Responders.

أَمَّن يُجِيبُ الْمُضْطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكْشِفُ السُّوءَ وَيَجْعَلُكُمْ خُلَفَاءَ الْأَرْضِ

“Or, Who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him, and Who relieves its suffering, and makes you inheritors of the earth?” [An-Naml: 62]

Speak out
We cannot remain silent over the massacre of the Muslims – the Ummah is a matter of brotherhood and Iman for us. The battle for Syria has been raging for well over half a decade and the regional/international powers are using it to crush any opinion for real change. We must speak out and expose them for turning a blind eye to the atrocities of the Assad regime.

Reject false solutions and western intervention
Organise demonstrations which reject the false solutions being imposed by the West and call for the return of the Khilafah in As-Shaam.

Account
Hold the Muslim rulers to account, who have directly or indirectly defended the Assad regime. Erdogan turned a blind eye to the slaughter of Aleppo. Saudi Arabia bombs Muslims in Yemen, yet excuses Assad’s brutalities. The surrounding rulers are standing against real change as it will put an end to their un-islamic regimes.

Expose
Expose the plans of the colonialists. The US, Russia, Britain and France are all in agreement real change should not come to Syria. Their objectives are to subjugate this noble Ummah via brutality and murder, enabling them to plunder her wealth and resources and plant their feet firmly in the Muslim world.

Aid the global call
Only the Khilafah Rashidah will bring about the liberation of Syria, Al-Quds, Kashmir and all other places of occupation. We must aid the global call for the re-establishment of the Khilafah:
stand for it, call for it and work for it.

“Only the Imam is a shield, behind whom you fight and you protect yourself with, so if he orders by taqwa and is just then he has reward for that, and if he orders by other than that then it is against himself.” (Muslim)
