Asalaaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh brothers and sisters…
Exams are over, the course work’s been handed in, the holidays have started – the parks are full, the sun is out – it’s summer time!
I’m so excited! Really looking forward to the summer, you know why?
Not because I can have some Barbecue’s, ice cream with my friends or chill out….
No, I’m so excited because…. if you stand for nothing you will fall for ANYTHING.
Yes, the youth of Hizb ut-Tahrir are launching a summer roadshow, titled “If you stand for nothing, you’ll fall for anything”.
They will be travelling across the UK in their T-shirts and engaging with you guys, inshaAllah.
Unforuntaley, some of our youth have fallen for anything; gun crime, knife crime, get rich quick schemes, drugs, alcohol, all sorts…
When you really think about it, what does all of this boil down to?
NOTHING brothers and sisters. Absolutely nothing.
As Allah (swt) reminds us in the Qur’an, when He says:
“Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire – of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.” [Aal-Imran : 14]
This is why, the young brothers from Hizb ut-Tahrir will be going up and down the country explaining how these things are nothing and if you stand for nothing, you WILL fall for anything.
SO BE CAREFUL, if you don’t stand for Islam, if you don’t understand Islam and hold onto this beautiful Deen, you will fall for anything.
We need to understand 3 basic facts:
- The youth in Islam have historically been the most important part of society – From mecca to as far as Europe, have always been the most important part of society – in carrying Islam.
- Youth are under the spotlight. If you stand for nothing, the government’s cool with you, but if you stand for something, if you stand for Islam – that’s when you are picked on, pigeonholed, seen as being strange. We must not fall for anything – WE must stand for Islam.
- We all know that banning guns, drugs or knives, won’t solve the problem. On one hand, there is talk of banning those things, on the other hand, they’re glorified on TV, PS4 and social media. So who is the government trying to fool? Don’t be a fool… don’t fall for anything.
Join the roadshow this summer, stand for your deen, stand for your global ummah, stand for the join the global struggle – stand, for Islam.
Look out for us, in London, Birmingham, Bradford and elsewhere, inshaAllah.
