Nearly 500 people attended a series of events over the winter holidays in a variety of venues across East London. Mixed audiences of youth, students, businessmen, professionals and community leaders attended to hear motivational talks on Tawheed: Legacy of the Prophets, Why Danish youth are coming to Islam and Lessons from the life of Umar ibn al-Khattab. Speakers over the winter holidays included Ustadh Abu Luqman and brother Abdul Kareem, a Danish revert to Islam. The audiences drew from all corners of the Muslim world including Africans, Arabs, Asians and SouthEast asians. Lively Q&A sessions followed which elaborated on the real implication of Tawheed ul-Hakimiyyah in light of the Arab Spring, the need to call to Islam in the communities in the Denmark and the UK, and the lessons from Umar which would help in protecting the Muslim’s character.
