Many have suffered severe torture, including sleep deprivation, merciless beatings, forced mind-altering medication and electric shocks at the hands of security agencies. Some have now been imprisoned and some remain abducted. The authorities have repeatedly denied essential medical treatment and visitation rights to those in prison. And families, friends and well-wishers of both the imprisoned and abducted have been repeatedly threatened by the security agencies.
Hizb ut Tahrir demands from the sincere Muslims in Pakistan, particularly from the people of influence within Pakistan’s judiciary, legal fraternity, security apparatus and human rights sections, to speak up now on behalf of these sincere advocates of Khilafah, in order to end the severe persecution being inflicted upon them.
