Hizb ut Tahrir makes the case for the removal of Zardari-Gilani-Kayani

Tuesday 17th May 2011 – Hizb ut Tahrir in Britain today announced the launch of a nationwide campaign at a community event in Walthamstow, London. The campaign will focus on the urgent need to remove the treacherous Zardari-Gilani regime.

The event was chaired by Atif Salahuddin and addressed by Mehboob Ali – both from Hizb ut Tahrir’s Paksitan Committee – and Imam Qaiser from Slough. Over the coming weeks Hizb ut Tahrir will be rallying the community throughout the UK, with special events, delegations and demonstrations.

Atif Salahuddin in his opening remarks said that the American raid in Abbottabad had raised the level of treachery committed by Pakistan’s rulers to new unprecedented heights. He said that the American attack inside Pakistan could not have been carried out without the Pakistani rulers fully co-operating with the American forces , allowing them unhindered access throughout the duration of the 100 minute raid. He highlighted that the complicity of General Ashfaq Kayani and his close military corp commanders has also been made abundantly clear.

Imam Qaiser in his address said that the Pakistani leadership has deliberately chosen this partnership of betrayal with America. If they wanted Pakistan’s rulers could end this partnership at anytime. He explained that they could do this by cutting the supply lines to the American and NATO forces in Afghanistan and by expelling all American military personnel, denying them Pakistani airspace and closing their bases inside Pakistan. America is the one who needs Pakistan for her war in Afghanistan, not the people of Pakistan needing America he said. Imam Qaiser said America’s aid means nothing for the people as inflation is sky-high and basic commodities are becoming scarcer for the people. This American aid only reaches the pockets of these corrupt civilian and military rulers, he said.

Imam Qaiser said that the endless western propaganda and innuendo unleashed against the Pakistani armed forces in the aftermath of this latest attack is designed to malign and create the narrative that Pakistan is a potential threat to the rest of the world that must be dealt with. He said that the Americans are desperate to purge the Pakistan armed forces of the genuine sincere officers who will not yield to the American plan to disarm Pakistan of her strength and become a subordinate state to India, so that America can attempt to contain China.

Mehboob Ali said that contrary to their Hollywood bravado, the Americans know very well that they cannot confront Pakistan whilst she still has the 5th largest army in the world and fully deployable nuclear weapons.

He said that this master to slave relationship had to end and that Pakistan had to stop acting as a client state for America in the region; and that Pakistan must redefine it’s relationship with other states against American aggression. Pakistan he said had to create economic independence by securing natural resources back from foreign multinationals, review all of it’s debt repayment agreements and place greater focus on internal growth through investment in industrialisation.

Mehboob said that the Pakistani rulers would never do this as they did not have the political conviction or will to do so.

He said that Hizb ut Tahrir was working hard to re-establish the Khilafat; and that everyone is aware that the Hizb has struggled against Western imperialism for nearly 60 years, and that the Khilafat would always put the people first. Pakistan today stands on the brink of real change, where the establishment of the Khilafat, will burst the bubble of the bankrupt American paper tiger and bring down the curtain on it’s ‘new American century’ as envisaged by it’s neo-conservative cheerleaders who passionately hate Islam he concluded.

      Assalamu alaikum

If we do not raise these issues then America continues in its escalation against Pakistan with its slaves – the Zardari-Gilani government. These rulers like their predecessors are America’s tools. It would be very short sighted to suggest that this issues should not be raised and in fact such a view aid America’s hegemony over Pakistan

      Wassalam, Abdallah
