Engineer Bahir Salih, representing the Media Office of Hizb-ut-Tahrir Palestine, called for immediate mobilisation in order to support the people of al-Quds (Jerusalem) and protecting them from the continuing aggression they have been suffering from the army of occupation and settler gangs.
He stated: “The number of abuses has reached a level which it is not possible to remain silent about, they must be confronted before it is too late, before al-Quds becomes a new Sabra and Shatila”.**
Salih emphasised that the only mobilisation that would end the sufferings of the people of al-Quds and protect the sacred sites is mobilisation of the Muslims’ armies to save al-Quds, Palestine and her people.
He added: “The people of Palestine are not orphans, they are in fact the sons of an Ummah of 1.5 billion, who are obliged, along with their armies, to support their sons in Palestine.” Salih also stressed that the efforts of all the people of Palestine must be directed towards calling on the armies of the Muslims, and pushing them to mobilise in support of Palestine.

** Editor’s note: The infamous Sabra and Shatila massacre took place in September 1982, during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon. Israeli used its Christian allies in Lebanon (Phalangist party) to carry out a prolonged massacre of over 3000 Palestinian refugees. In fact, the total number of victims is not confirmed, as numerous victims were transported alive from the camp and never seen again.
