On 27th January, Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah Yemen launched a broad campaign to spread awareness of the Fard status of Khilafah and the obligation to call people to work for its establishment.
As part of the campaign, tens of thousands of posters bearing the phrase “the time for Khilafah has come” were distributed, particularly on the main streets of the capitals of nine of Yemen’s provinces. The campaign enjoyed a big response, where people supported the call for Khilafah, and many people sought to join the party in the work to establish the Fard of ruling by Islam, raising al-‘uqab – the banner of Rasoul Allah (sall Allahu alaihi wa sallam) and unifying the Muslims’ lands. The work is also to expel the influence of the Western colonialist states that plan to remain (influential) in the Muslims’ lands, even after the outbreak of revolutions against the oppression of the ruling regimes that they appointed over the necks of the Muslims, protecting and supporting them since the destruction of the Khilafah in 1924. The support for the Hizb’s campaign came despite the opposing campaign of the regime loyalists and functionaries, who removed posters wherever they could, since the word “Khilafah”, and ruling by Islam in all areas of life, is something that annoys and agitates them.
The campaign continued until Jumu’ah (3rd February), on which the Hizb activists distributed leaflets across the nine provinces bearing the title of the campaign “The Time for Khilafah has Come”. This leaflet answered many of the questions which people asked about the status of the Khilafah as the ruling system of Islam, and the crown of obligations (taaj ul-foroud) from Rabb ul-Alameen. The leaflet called on the people to work with the party for the Khilafah, and clarified the danger of loosening the bond of ruling, as stated in the hadeeth of the Prophet (sall Allahu alaihi wa sallam) narrated in al-Mustadrak of al-Hakim:
“The knots of Islam will be broken one after the after. Each time one is broken, the next one will be held onto tightly. The first to break will be the ruling, and the last will be the prayer.”
The leaflet also made comparisons between the current way of life, and life in the shade of Islamic rule in the Khilafah state, particularly in the political, economic, social and educational arenas. It also exposed the foreign policy of the Western, colonialist states, which interferes in the affairs of other states on the basis of flimsy excuses.
This campaign takes place one year after the launch of the revolution in Yemen, which until now has not reached its goal with the removal of the regime and its replacement with the Khilafah system, making Yemen a support point for the second Khilafah Rashidah, and joining the remaining Muslim countries to her. Change has been confined to removing the President and replacing him with his deputy while the rest of the regime remains unchanged, as has happened in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya.
The campaign also drew attention to the Khilafah as the only solution for the Muslims problems on a global level, and not just in Yemen. It also gave the good news that the time for Khilafah has drawn near, now that the intellectual corruption, political crisis and economic problems of Capitalism have become clear. It is narrated in Musnad Ahmed that Rasoul Allah (sall Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said,
“Prophethood will be amongst you for as long as Allah wills, then He will raise it, when He wills that He should raise it. Then there will be Khilafah on the minhaj of Prophethood, and it will be for as long as Allah wills, then He will raise it, when Allah wills that He should raise it. Then there will be mulkan ‘aadhan (biting rule), and it will be for as long as Allah wills, then He will raise it, when He wills that He should raise it. Then there will be mulkan jabriyyah (forceful rule), and it will be for as long as Allah wills, then He will raise it, when He wills that He should raise it. Then there will be Khilafah on the minhaj of Prophethood, and then he remained silent.”
