Re: The Zionist Occupation of Palestine
The attacks violating the sanctity of al-Aqsa and the spilling of the sacred blood of Muslims in al-Quds, Gaza and elsewhere in Palestine have caused outrage across the Muslim world.
The Muslim community in the UK, like the Muslim Ummah globally, demands an end to the brutality in Palestine and the occupation that has caused so much oppression over decades. As such we call to account the Muslim governments who are definitely capable of ending such terrorism if they mustered the courage and had the political will to do so, and we demand the following with immediate effect:
1) The governments in the Muslim world must deploy all resources including the armies they have with immediate effect to end the oppression and liberate Palestine. Most of the regimes in Muslim countries rushed to make alliances with the US on its “War on Terror”. If such regimes did not hesitate to support a war that further divided the Muslim world and demonised Islam, they have no excuse not to move their forces to Palestine immediately. Such an act would strike fear into the heart of the Zionist occupation of Palestine to such an extent that many of the occupiers would in all likelihood fly back to their countries of origin like the US, UK or Europe.
2) The governments in the Muslim world must sever all ties they have with the Zionist entity – whether in terms of energy, commercial, trade, technological, diplomatic or defence relations. This action would ensure there is no normalisation with an entity that has no legitimacy – and which has been responsible for so many deaths and so much devastation. Such relations are a form of assistance to the occupiers, so any regime that maintains them are considered as aiding the occupation of Palestine until they cut ties with the Zionists.
3) The governments in the Muslim world must reject any plans or solutions from the so-called ‘international community’ or the UN regarding al-Aqsa and Palestine. The UN legitimised the occupation of Palestine in 1948 and has done nothing to redress the problem. The strongest powers in the Security Council created and have sustained the occupation since then. Moreover, their record on Muslim issues shows abject failure such as in Kashmir and Syria – as well as for the Rohingya and Uighur Muslims.
Any argument that the consequences of such actions would be harmful to ‘national interests’ is only an excuse not to act. The Muslim Ummah is an Ummah that is willing to be led by sincerity to Allah ﷻ, His Messenger ﷺ and the Believers, with the firm belief that Allah ﷻ is the disposer of all affairs, regardless of any economic sanctions, red or grey lists and even military action. He ﷻ is the One who Provides (ar-Razzaq) and the One who Protects (al-Hafiz). We are the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ and are willing to sacrifice all for the sake of al-Masjid al-Aqsa and its Blessed surroundings.
