It saddnes me that at a time when the people in Egypt need our support (and we should ALL be united in this), HT yet again appear to be creating more divsion by undermining sincere Egyptians who want a better situation in their country. You do this because you claim it doesn’t fit your interpretation of Islam.
I put it to you, that your styles and inability to unite with others becasue you believe other ideas inferier to yours, is damaging and dividing this ummah further. Although your statting point is sincere, you are becoming a part of the problem certainly not the solution. Very few Egyptians will see your actions as being anything other than opportunistic.
Please unite with others in calling for change. Don’t undermine and destroy those who you wish to help. Adopt another style which builds and empowers people!
Jazakillah khair for your comment. The people in Egypt are screaming for change, with the moto of the revolution being, “Ash sha’b ureed isqaat un nidham”, which means, “The people want the fall of the SYSTEM”. For they realise it is the system that has ruined their lives, not just Mubarak. The West are pushing for ‘reform’ whereas the people on the ground are calling for a change of system. Hizb ut-Tahrir is calling the Ummah, real change will never be achieved until we return to the natural system for the Muslim Ummah, which is Islam and the Khilafah. As long as we fall into the trap of adopting foreign systems such as Capitalism, Communism and Democracy, we will continue to be colonised by the Western powers, as has been our history for the last 90 years. REAL change can only happen via returning these lands to their natural state, under Khilafah, which ruled them for over 1300 years up until it was forcefully removed by the colonialist West, who have ruled our lands ever since.
