It has come to our attention that a British drama insinuated that a Muslim character was demonstrating outside the Syrian Embassy in London with “members of Hizb ut-Tahir (sic) alongside the Islamic State Group”. Despite the fictional and fantastical nature of such dramas, it cannot be ignored that such popular television shows are just another part of a well-coordinated and orchestrated campaign to demonise Muslims in the minds of ordinary uninformed viewers.
For the record, Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain has organised many demonstrations outside the Syrian Embassy, always without any kind of violent incident, and certainly not in participation with Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi’s group who falsely claimed to have established the Khilafah. Our opposition to their illegitimate claim and their egregious use of violence and intimidation is well known; a sentiment that is echoed from all corners of the Muslim community in Britain and indeed the whole Muslim Ummah overseas.
The crude and casual demonisation of Muslims by the various media and entertainment channels serves no-one but the capitalist elite who have adopted such caricatures of Islam like the Baghdadi group, labelling them the Islamic State, while they have nothing to do with the honourable institution set up by the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) to deliver just rule and guidance to mankind.
Only the capitalist wealthy elite with their colonial intent, their indifference to oppression, and their fear of being held to account by the world community of Muslims (Ummah), promote the notion that murderers of innocent civilians, whom they falsely label as “jihadists”, are in any way representative of Islam or the project to restore the true Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate) on the way of Prophethood.
