London
, UK , November 27 2007 – Hisham al-Baradei, an unarmed activist from
Hizb ut-Tahrir in Palestine , was today murdered by the forces of
Mahmood Abbas in Hebron whilst demonstrating against the Annapolis
conference.
To silence the thousands of voices in opposition to the conference, police used brutal force against demonstrators and journalists, resulting in the death of al-Baradei and injuries to hundreds of protestors.
Commenting on this, Dr Imran Waheed, media representative of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain , said, "At the behest of the US, Mahmood Abbas has tried to silence all those who speak out against his betrayal and capitulation at Annapolis. The blood of al-Baradei is on the hands of Bush, his stooge Abbas and the other inept despots and tyrants of the Middle East – who turn out to save the face of a discredited US President, yet turn a blind eye to the plight of the Palestinians."
"The Annapolis conference has no legitimacy whatsoever in the eyes of the Muslim masses. The people of Palestine and the Middle East are in no way represented by this band of dictators from the Middle East – who always resort to the tactics of violent repression to silence oppostion to their utter submission to US-Israeli interests."
"Such US-backed brutality from Abbas will only strengthen the growing movement for the return of the Caliphate to the region, as people increasingly see that Bush and his despotic cronies have no solutions for the Middle East – only more repression and occupation. The Caliphate will end the era of unelected dictators and tyrants and establish a society where people of the region live in stability, justice and peace under the just laws of Islam."
