Hizb ut-Tahrir strongly condemns the ongoing killings in Karachi. Karachi, which is the economic backbone of Pakistan, the capitalist system has been completely failed to construct a peaceful and durable relationship between various segments of the society. Capitalist system, whether implemented through democracy or dictatorship, has failed to deliver economic justice and tranquility to the people. That is why whether it is America or France, India or China, we see minorities complaining about their rights being subjugated by the majority. Democratic rulers and dictators are equally responsible to incite hatred between the people of Karachi who have been living side by side for decades. Hizb ut-Tahrir strongly appeals to the people of Karachi that they should set aside their ethnic and linguistic identities and protect each other. People of Karachi should also strongly express their rejection for all those groups, which divide this Ummah on ethnicity and linguistics basis and force them to even kill each other. Prophet of Allah, Mohammad (s.a.w) said:
“He is not one of us who calls for ‘asabiyyah, (nationalism of any kind) or who fights for ‘asabiyyah or who dies for ‘asabiyyah” (Abu Daood).
Hizb ut-Tahrir also reminds the Police and Rangers that it is their obligation to protect the life and property of the people and they should not accept any political pressure in this regard. Also Hizb ut-Tahrir asks from the sincere ones amongst the people of power that for how long will they sit and watch the massacre of innocent people? Ummah has rejected the Capitalist system and its affiliated leadership and wants to live under Islamic system i.e. the Khilafah. This is the time that people of power should provide support to Hizb ut-Tahrir in order to establish the Khilafah, so that not only these groups must be eliminated which divide Muslims on the bases of language or race but the Capitalist leadership will also be eradicated which does not hesitate to kill thousands just to protect their interests.
