London, UK, July 4 – Over a hundred and fifty demonstrators protested at the Egyptian embassy in London earlier today demanding that the Mubarak regime ' and the neighbouring Muslim countries ' act to help the Palestinians who continue to bear the brunt of barbaric Israeli attacks. The peaceful demonstration entitled 'Muslim neighbours must support Palestinians' was organised by Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain, a non-violent Islamic political party that is spearheading the work for the return of the Islamic Caliphate in the Muslim world.
Demonstrators held banners and chanted slogans such as " End Israel's Terrorism", "Mubarak abandons Gaza" ,"Muslims demand justice, Liberation of Palestine" "Muslims rulers are useless, allowing Israel to abuse us" "Mubarak closes Gaza's borders, on Israeli government orders" and "Liberation is on its way, the Caliphate is on it's way", amongst others.
The crowd heard English and Arabic speeches by Maajid Nawaz, Hassan Al-Hasan and Jamal Harwood. The speakers talked about the continuing Israeli attacks on the people of Gaza, the betrayal of Mubarak who ignored the cry of the Palestinians but works to secure the release of one Israeli soldier. They were reminded that Mubarak's disregard for Palestinian prisoners was not surpring since his regime illegally detains over 10,000 political prisoners in the dungeons of Egypt. They called on Muslims to continue supporting the work for the removal of the puppet Muslim regimes and the re-establishment of the Caliphate in the Muslim world, so that Palestine is liberated and so that peace and tranquillity ensues for Muslims, Jews and Christians in the holy land.
The event was covered by Al-Jazeerah, Islam Channel and other media networks.
