FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

London, UK, January 25th 2010 – Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain, will hold a press conference [11am Wednesday, 27th January] to launch its report outlining an alternative path to the current misery and chaos caused by the western occupation of Afghanistan and Obama’s undeclared war on Pakistan. Eight years after the invasion and the killing of countless Afghans, yet another Afghanistan conference is about to add to the misery of the people of Afghanistan.

Jamal Harwood, Taji Mustafa and Atif Salahuddin will address the press conference.

Commenting on the launch, Taji Mustafa, a media representative of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain, said, "A day before Gordon Brown and Hamid Karzai’s Afghanistan conference in London, we will be exposing the reality of their unwinnable war, the inevitable failure of the western strategy for Afghanistan and Pakistan and why western forces must immediately withdraw from the region. We will also outline an alternative path for the region and how only the Khilafah, with its tried and trusted political system, can end the cycle of violence and provide the much needed stability that the region deserves.”

[Ends]
