5 reasons why Muslims will always speak out for Al-Aqsa
1. Al-Aqsa is linked to our Aqeedah
Al-Aqsa is part of the blessed land of Ash-sham, which includes Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan and Syria.
The Prophet (s.a.w) said:
“Blessings to Ash-sham, blessings to Ash-sham, blessings to Ash-sham. The companions asked why and the he replied: “Because the wings of the angels of the Merciful are lowered over it”. [Tirmidhi]
The Prophet (s.a.w) called Ash-sham the purest of the lands of Allah – the place where religion, belief and safety are found in the times of conflict.
Al-Aqsa is also the third holiest place of worship for Muslims and is where the Prophet led the Anbiya (a.s) in prayer during Al-Isra wal-Miraj.
2. Al-Aqsa is part of our legacy
Jerusalem was first liberated by Umar (ra) in 638 CE and then by Salahuddin in 1187 CE.
The Treaty of Umar guaranteed the rights of all citizens including the Jews and the Christians, who lived peacefully under the shade of the Khilafah for almost 1200 years.
In 1948, the illegitimate Zionist state of Israel was created by the colonialists. It has since been a source of death and destruction, whilst being protected by puppet regimes in the Muslim world.
3. Muslims will not tolerate oppression by the Zionists
Allah swt says:
“You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah.” [Ali ‘Imran:110]
Government attempts to label Muslims as extreme for speaking against the Zionist entity will not work.
This Ummah fears Allah alone and will always speak the truth in the face of injustice.
4. The Muslims are a part of one Ummah
The Prophet (s.a.w) said: “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim]
The Al-Aqsa conflict is not a Palestinian or an Arab issue.
Islam outright rejects the nation state model.
Our book is one.
Our prophet is one.
Our suffering is one.
Our cause is one.
5. Only the Khilafah will liberate Al-Aqsa
The Prophet (s.a.w) said:
“The Imam is a shield, behind whom you fight and protect yourself.” [Muslim]
Lobbying MPs, Humanitarian aid, Boycotting, or sanctions have not and will not protect Al-Aqsa from the oppression of the Zionist entity.
Only a sincere leader under the shade of the Khilafah, like that of Umar (r.a) and Salahuddin, will mobilise the Muslim armies to liberate Al-Aqsa and the Muslim world at large.
It is thus vital that we work tirelessly for the reestablishment of this Khilafah – to bring Al-Aqsa back to its former glory once more.
