In 1979, Egypt became the second Muslim-majority country to recognise the Zionist entity after Turkey.

Since Sisi’s coming to power in 2014, Egyptian authorities have relentlessly ensured that the Sinai border crossing with Gaza remains largely sealed.
Egypt and the Zionist entity cooperated in the most recent destruction and flooding of tunnels between Gaza and the Sinai, which are used for essential supplies.
Egypt also refuses the use of its port in al-Arish in northern Sinai for exchanging goods and commerce with Gaza.
The moves have suffocated Palestinians, whose only other passage to the outside world is through the Zionist entity – who ensure an airtight blockade is imposed.
In 2015, Egypt voted in favour of the Zionist entity to become a member of a UN committee – the first time Egypt has voted for them at the UN since the 1948 occupation.
In May 2016 the al-Sisi government introduced ‘The Geography of the Arab World and the History of Modern Egypt’ textbook to school classrooms, which features more ‘inclusive and friendlier’ language towards the ZIonist entity.
9th grade school children are now required to memorise the provisions of the 1979 Zionist-Egypt peace treaty, and write on the advantages of peace between Egypt and the Zionist entity.
The Zionist entity has also been carrying out drone strikes in Sinai with Egypt’s consent.
Companies within the Zionist entity are in talks to sell around 3 billion cubic meters of gas a year to Egypt.
President Sisi continues the damning legacy of Anwar Sadat in legitimising and further consolidating the occupation of Palestine through his relationship with the Zionist entity.
The rulers of Muslim lands do not work on behalf of Islam and the Muslim Ummah, but instead secure the interests of their secular colonial masters.
They must thus be replaced by a sincere Islamic leadership – the Khilafah Rashidah – whose interests are that of Islam and the Muslim Ummah alone.
