Let us not be Stung by Democracy Yet Again

Let us not be stung by democracy yet again!

The dismissal of Nawaz sharif feels like a case of deja vu.

We have been here all too many times before –

The previous departure of Nawaz in 1999,

Musharraf in 2008,

Zardari in 2013,

And now Nawaz again in 2017.

RasulAllah (saaw) warned us,

لَا يُلْدَغُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ جُحْرٍ وَاحِدٍ مَرَّتَيْن

“The believer is not stung from the same hole twice.” [Bukhari, Muslim]

Looking for real change through democracy ensures our disappointment time and time again.

Democracy has been the cause of corruption, financial and otherwise, for over seven decades in Pakistan.

In fact, the whole Muslim World resonates with such failures.

From Morocco in the West, through to Turkey and onwards to Indonesia in the East, democracy has failed the people by servicing the rich and exploiting the poor.

Democracy stings us through its openly practised corruption on the Earth by its callers, disobeying their Lord (swt) in their capacity as rulers.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ

“And when it is said to them: “Do not make corruption on the earth,” they say: “We are only peacemakers.” [Al-Baqarah 2:11].

Democracy stings us through its open alliances with the enemy and abandonment of the Muslims of Al-Aqsa and occupied Kashmir.

Democracy stings us through its privatisation of public resources, which Islam has clearly forbidden.

O Muslims of Pakistan!

Let us not waste any more energy by looking for real change in the wrong place.

How can we expect peace, security and the blessings of Allah (swt), through a system built on disobedience, sin and transgression?

Let us work for real change by standing with the shebaab of Hizb ut-Tahrir as they strive to re-establish the Khilafah on the Method of the Prophethood in the lands of Pakistan.

O Muslims of Pakistan’s Armed Forces!

Bury the rotting corpse of Democracy through your Nussrah (Material Support) for the re-establishment of the Khilafah on the Method of the Prophethood.

It is time for real change brothers, so ally with Allah (swt), His Deen and the Believers:

“Your ally is none but Allah and [therefore] His Messenger and those who have believed – those who establish prayer and give zakah, and they bow [in worship]. * And whoever is an ally of Allah and His Messenger and those who have believed – indeed, the party of Allah – they will be the predominant.” [Al-Ma’idah: 55-56].
