The Muslim Ummah needs to learn from past mistakes, how many times are we going to make the same mistake? We need to realise that when the West says ‘Democracy’ they mean man-made rule and not religion. The Muslims on other hand thinks democracy is the right to choose own system, own rulers. But what happened with FIS, Algeria in 1992 elections? what happened when Hamas won the election in Palestine? As soon as the Muslims have exercised their ‘democratic’ rights to choose, the West screams… and say, this is an autocratic government, they sabotage, they imposed sanctions. Why? Why? because they have a different understanding of democracy than us and because they are the creators of democracy, their definition is probably the real one. Democracy is about people rule, man-made law…no God’s Law. So, make sure we know precisely what the term means.
