The West’s Empty Promises of Intervention Only Hide Their Secular Motives

American President Obama declared that the use of chemical weapons by the Assad regime against the Syrian people was a red line. When the murderer crossed it in Ghouta, the world’s response was deafeningly silent. When again last April Assad used chemical weapons, President Trump symbolically fired some missiles at an airbase near Homs, causing little damage to the targets or the regime. Assad has continued to use chemical weapons, reportedly up to seven times this year so far. Now President Trump promises forceful action at the most recent chemical weapon attack, so no one should be surprised if the world does not hold its breath in anticipation.

British Prime Minister Theresa May offered a hollow echo of condemnation, but also managed to bring Russia into the cross-hairs, for being the Syrian regime’s backer.

The Syrian people have been all but ignored during the past six years of slaughter by their barbaric American installed Syrian regime. Out of desperation to protect its influence in Syria, America has sent every barbaric agent to annihilate the Syrian people and end their revolution. Russia openly supports Assad, while America deceptively opposes him.

The reality, however, is that America coordinated the Russian and Iranian support, and the Turkish betrayal, while supplying small arms to many of the rebel factions.

The Syrian revolution has exposed the many contradictions in Western states’ international policies, as well as the deep inhumanity of the secular world order. No human price is too high to pay to protect Western national interests. Escaping refugees are left to drown in the sea, while families are decimated by the constant bombardment of their homes. All for the sake of rivalry between the world’s powers, and to prevent the blessed Syrian revolution’s Islamic characteristic growing into a true Islamic State on the way of Prophethood.

When the secular West intervenes in a conflict it is never for a humanitarian aim, and always for their own interests.

They ignore the human suffering and cries for help, until there is a benefit for themselves – whether strategic, political or material – then intervene to secure that benefit.

Then they parade in front of the world, as though they are saviours with ending the suffering as their only concern.

Secular Capitalist societies do not recognise any value except the material value, so all actions of the state are undertaken for a material benefit. Ordinary human beings in the West, however, who have not all fully sold their souls to capitalism, and those outside the West who have only a superficial support for secular policies, do still recognise the humanitarian value which leads them to want to save humanity from suffering. Therefore, although the Western capitalists caused the human suffering overseas, they claim that their interventions are humanitarian in nature, to win the people’s support so that their real aims are not known.

The International situation today is a struggle between the competing secular powers in the world, each enlisting their own satellite and subordinate countries to support their efforts to dominate over their rivals. This rivalry is often not openly acknowledged, as it is hidden from view by a thin veil of cordial diplomatic relations, however it does come into view occasionally. The capitalist (and previously the communist) countries are happy to create humanitarian crises in one region to wrest control from a rival, or to create a distraction to busy a rival, or for any other benefit. Then they hypocritically complain about the human rights abuses of their rivals and offer humanitarian assistance or interventions to defame their rival, or to enter the region, or for any other benefit.

The Islamic State that will follow the Prophet’s model will not be a secular state and as such, will recognise the true value of humanity. Capitalism values humanity only for its material benefit, while Islam values all humans as worshippers of Allah, in need of guidance from their Lord.

The chief interest for the Islamic State is not the wealth that humans can generate; rather it will spend all its wealth to bring security to the people so that they can witness the justice and truth of Islam.

Spiritual and Humanitarian values have real value in Islam, while they are given no value at all by secular states today.

“For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs (of Allah’s Sovereignty), but afterwards lo! many of them became prodigals in the earth.” [Al-Ma’idah: 32]
